The water soluble products are added to water to inhibit excessive scale formation from precipitation and deposition of insoluble salts of calcium, magnesium and barium. Glosperse 5005 N is not susceptible to eutrophication and is not a primary nutrient for aquatic life forms.
Glosperse 5005 N has shown no harmful effects on fish, algae or bacteria. It contains neither phosphates nor heavy metals. Glosperse 5005N has an average molecular weight of about 2000 determined by intrinsic viscosity.

Glosperse 5005 N is used in the treatment of recirculated cooling water for scale inhibition and prevention of fouling by insoluble salts. Glosperse 5005 N is used in the treatment of boiler feed water to inhibit scale and to control sludge accumulation.
Glosperse 5005 N may also have an advantage over natural organic sludge conditioners in that as they are colourless, colour contamination is thus avoided where steam is used for processing purposes, eg. In textiles or pulp - paper bleaching.
Recommended dosage is 5 - 10 ppm active polymer.
